Our school in Cambodia is finished!

Many of you will know that I am part of a group of entrepreneurs, raising money to build a school in Cambodia.  I’m delighted to share that the school is finished!

Our team, lead by Alisoun Mackenzie, worked closely with Classroom of Hope to ensure that we were doing more than just building a building.  We wanted to ensure that the local district was invested in employing teachers to educate, and that there would be long term engagement within the community.
One of my main motivations for joining the team was to provide an opportunity for girls to be educated in a place that may need support to provide this.  We know that when girls are in school, they are less likely to be trafficked or abused, and that when they grow up, they invest heavily in their families and communities.

We plan to visit Cambodia and the school in January 2020!  As a team, we are also heavily researching the ways that we can meaningfully contribute, in the most helpful ways.  We plan to support local businesses and social enterprises while we are there in the most responsible way possible.  My plan is to update you with all that I am learning, as everything that you do as an individual can impact individuals and communities in various, and often unintended, ways.  (ie donating old clothing to charities, which go to foreign countries, can often undermine local entrepreneurs as they are unable to compete, etc).  We are making efforts to be as aware as possible, and all of this information can inform us in the ways we spend our money, what we choose to consume,  and understanding the impact of our privilege upon others here, and around the world.  (Expect a few Facebook live videos from me in the near future!)

For those of you who donated outright, attended courses with me last year (a percentage from each course was donated), or attended my 1-day event in January, you were a part of raising this money, and have contributed to the health and well being of a group of 274 children on the other side of the world.  I am so grateful to each of you, thank you.

I also wanted to include an offer!  Many of you helped me to raise my share of the money (£3500), and now I am getting creative in funding my way over in January.  So I have decided to offer packages of sessions with me for a reduced rate for the next 11 days.
I am in the process of redesigning my website, and packages will be changing/disappearing next month.  So if you are planning to invest in 4 or 6 sessions with me, now is the time!  And at a reduced rate, even better!  Full details can be found HERE.

Again, I wanted to thank you all for your support!
Sending infinite blessings your way!
